OGX: Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco – Intense Moisturising Treatment | Product Review

I was in the market for a new conditioner and seeing Ms.Super Consumer finishing product after product from the Organix (OGX) brand with an unwavering loyalty, I thought I should also try something from their inventory so I decided to go for the Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco – Intense Moisturising Treatment.

Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco – Intense Moisturising Treatment | Package

The packaging is an advantage to quickly scoop out stuff but going in for seconds will end up depositing broken hair and some water in there! The consistency is thick and slilicon-y and has un-remarkable fragrance that goes away after a day. The tub has very ambiguous instructions so I read up on their website for instructions of use. There are three ways this product can be used

  1. Deep Conditioning Treatment – Apply the product over DRY hair and go over with a wide-toothed comb and wrap it in a hot towel. They claim that one can leave it on for up to an hour and use it as a deep conditioning mask. The heat will help the mask penetrate the hair even deeper, ensuring better conditioning.
  2. Condition -Shampoo- Condition Method – Apply the product evenly over DRY hair with a wide-toothed comb. Let sit for 3 to 5 minutes than shampoo and condition.
  3. Use as a Conditioner – Apply the product to wet hair after shampooing.

Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco – Intense Moisturising Treatment | Price & Manufacturing Details

I generally use Method 3 because aint nobody got time for the other stuff every time I wash my hair. So as a Conditioner it does performs slightly better than the drugstore/ super market picks. I have mid-length thin frizzy hair with oily roots and dry ends. When I have the time and I oil my hair the night before shampooing. I understand the goodness of oil but I do this mainly to tame the frizz. But this treatment works well even without the oiling which definitely is a big point in its favour. (because I am lazy AF !)

I have tried the Method 1 as well (not on dry hair – because my hair is weak and thin and I don’t want to cause more breakage) and the claims are true, the product’s performance is slightly enhanced. The hair post drying looks sleeker and the frizz is definitely under control.

Pros:

  • More than one way to use it
  • Value for money.
  • Paraben Free
  • Effective

Cons:

Closing Thoughts:

The performance of this product is above average, so much so that I ended up buying the shampoo and conditioner from the same range. Once all of it is finished, will I buy it again? Maybe not, not because of poor performance but just because I like to change things up. Organix (OGX) as a brand has definitely caught my attention post this product. Do let me know what you thought of this product and your experience with this brand in the comments section.
